I love this scene because even though at this point Bakugo has no idea who Kirishima is and Kirishima finds Bakugo angry and unmanly, they step up at the same time and move in complete synch. It shows how naturally compatible they are.
And here, it’s Kirishima speaking but it sounds like something Bakugo would say (not as calmly though) Even though Bakugo is very
uncooperative
at this stage, he seems perfectly fine with Kirishma.
Not only are they compatible with their quirks but they both have a similar sense of determination and resolve and for Bakugo that’s everything. During the sports festival, he’s still unsure when Kirishima points out their compatible quirks.
He’s like “ok yeah you have a point but I need somebody with guts and idk if you can actually handle that”
It’s only after Kirishima tells him that he’s unwavering and determined to get the ten million that he accepts him. He sees that Kirishima has the same drive he has and that earns his respect. (He’s so certain of it that he brings it up later when Kirishima needs reassurance.)
It’s clear that whenever those two fight together they will move perfectly in synch like it’s the most natural thing.
And look how savage they both look because they’re both thinking that they have the perfect opportunity to pass the test now. Even though Kirishima is cheerful and friendly, he can get just as intense during a battle!
Bakugou and Kiri’s dynamic are everything to me thats all i have to say
